The Guide to the Watermark Archive consists of several interlinked subsections, as outlined in this Table of Contents. This Table of Contents provides a comprehensive overview of the Archive and the accompanying Guide, and points of entrance to these various parts of the Guide as well as to the major divisions of the Archive itself.
- Introduction to the Guide. You are now reading it; it begins with this Table of Contents and the Overview to the Archive Archive:

- Introduction to the Archive of Watermarks. This page of the Guide is the main point of entry to the Archive of Watermark Images. The page includes links to the archive itself (the Index of Watermarks) and to several subsections of the Guide, including

This section explains how to publish your watermarks here, and gives instructions for electronic submission of scanned prints or tracings.

This Introductory page identifies and explains the ten elements of description by which papers are described in this catalog. It also explains how to contribute paper descriptions to this database, and provides a link to the electronic form for submission of your paper descriptions
- Introduction to the Bibliographical Database. This page is the main point of entry to the Bibliographical Database.
