Updated The Zoom software makes it hard to admit students who show up late, especially during slide shows. NOTE: Students who repeatedly miss class meetings always do poorly. Part 1 of the exam will be posted online by around 6:30 a.m. on the morning of the exam, and Part 2 will be emailed to each student at about the same time. You may take either part first, but Part 1 (online) must be completed in a single continuous sitting lasting no more than 90 minutes (very generous). The entire exam should be completed no later than 2 p.m. on exam day, unless an individual exception has been granted. Please email me with specifics if you have a situation that you feel may justify an exception (like a busy work schedule). (Time extensions, if justified, are often the easiest exception to grant.) The exam requires use of certain software that you must download in advance if you have not already done so. Click here for instructions in order to DOWNLOAD and TEST the software in advance, and also for further information about taking the exam. A study guide, posted here, offers lots of advice and links to some sample questions. The exam format and other pointers are explained here, and will follow the same general format as the first exam. Exams are non-cumulative, and will not cover material already covered in previous exams. The chapter outlines listed here are intended for use as a series of study guides, together with the other material (illustrations, etc.) posted online, and the material in the textbook. Please begin studying early. may be computer-marked as incorrect, especially for bad spelling or typing errors. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, and a MAJOR COURSE REQUIREMENT because plans may change !!
