ASSIGNMENT #1


  • A. Before our first meeting, please use the Email account that you wish to use for class just to send me an email that says "Hello!" or "Hi!".
        For most of you, that's enough, but please provide additional information if any of the following apply:
        1. If you prefer to use a shortened form of your first name (like "Beth" instead of "Elizabeth"), or if you prefer a nickname, please explain.
        2. If people often mispronounce your first name, please provide a phonetic spelling or other guide. (I want to pronounce everyone's name correctly.)
        3. If you think you will need any kind of accommodation for taking exams online, or for any other course requirement,
          please explain, and also read the bottom of the "Course Expectations" page.
     

  • B. Also, before our first meeting, please familiarize yourself with the links from our class Home Page.
        In particular, check out the ZOOM instructions in the link from our class Home Page.
        Please do this in advance, so that you are prepared to use Zoom on the first day of class.

  • C. You may want to "bookmark" our class home page so you can get to it more easily (and often).
