Naomi Otsubo grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She found writing at the early age of seven and that love of language has been her support throughout her life. She has quietly rebelled against social constraints by simply living on her own terms. The shear delight she finds in the world and its people has taken her to Southeast Asia, China, USA, and Canada as well as the mountains and trails of her own country. She came to Maine to have a self-sufficient life and Newfoundland dog. A book of her Japanese poetry will be released later this year.
