Accommodations

The conference will be held at the Fairmont San Jose.

• The Fairmont is offering discounted rooms for the conference, at a rate of $170 for one person, $180 for two people, and $25 for each additional adult up to four. (Plus taxes.)
• Hotel rooms are two double beds.

• The deadline for the discounted rate is June 30, 2007.

Rooms are also available at the San Jose State University dormitories. Dorm room reservations are handled directly by the MAA as part of the organization for MathFest. To reserve a room, call the MAA housing line at 1-800-741-9415 ext. 430.

• The conference rates are $70 for a single and $79 for a double. (Plus taxes.) To get these rates, mention that you are with the Society for Mathematical Biology when you make your reservations.

Additional Accommodations

The following hotels are a  few miles away from the airport and few blocks from the Light Rail Stop at Gish and N. First Streets. There is a cluster of hotels near the Santa Clara Convention Center ( www.santaclara.org ) and Great America ( http://www3.cedarfair.com/greatamerica/index.cfm  ). (There is a Light Rail Stop at Great America.)  This area is about 8.5 miles from the Fairmont Hotel. 

There are many other hotels in the area but their location might be inconvenient if one does not have ground transportation.
