Clinic

The Bates Men's and Women's Ice Hockey teams are hosting a youth hockey clinic from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30 at Underhill Arena. There will be a 6-7pm session for players aged 5-9, and a 7:15-8:15pm session for 10-14 year olds. Both sessions are open to boys and girls, and the cost is $75 for the week.

To sign up, print the attached pdf and fill out both the registration section and the Parental Consent Form. Mail both forms with to $75 payment (cash or check made out to Bates Preseason Hockey Clinic) to:

Welcome / Activities Fair

Welcome or welcome back to Bates, everyone! As the fall semester begins and the Class of 2013 joins us, we're looking forward to seeing some new faces that might be interested in joining us on the ice! Activities Fair is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, from 9-11pm in the Grey Cage. If you're a new student and curious about the team, please stop by the Women's Hockey booth to say hi and sign up on our interest form. We look forward to meeting you!

A belated congrats to all our class of 2009 teammates on graduation. To everyone else: Happy Summer!

In website news, the Prospectives page has been updated with the contact information of next year's captains for interested newcomers to Bates. Also, the guys team now has a legitimate website at bateshockey.com and was kind enough to link to us. Special thanks to Tim for setting that up.

End of Season Banquet

Last week, our end of season banquet was held. Awards were selected by the team and are:

Most Valuable Player: Lauren Slipp
Best Offensive Player: Kathleen Boyland
Best Defensive Player: Lauren Slipp
Most Improved Player: Kristy Zera

Anne Mueller was selected by teammates as the 2009 women's recipient of the Dick Williamson Alumni Ice Hockey Award. This award recognizes "leadership, spirit, skill, dedication, humor, and sportsmanship, both on and off the ice."

Also, captains for next year were elected and will be: Lauren Slipp, Kara Sullivan, and Kathleen Boyland.

Congrats to everyone. Thank you all for a great season.

UVM Game

UVM defeated Bates 8-1 in our final game of the season. Thanks to everyone who supported us this past season.
