Note A: The several chapter outlines (and also the prototype syllabi)
should be made available
in plain text (.txt) format as well as
(or instead of) .pdf. THEY ARE FAR MORE USEFUL THIS WAY,
because
instuctors can then download the information into any word
processor and adapt it for their
own local class use without
retyping it. (In .pdf format, they would need to retype it.)
If we are providing this information for the convenience of users,
we should make it maximally
useful and maximally convenient.
