Coach Fresh was nominated by his fellow NESCAC coaches as NESCAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for the first time this season. He has previously recieved the award in track, but this is the first time he has recieved it in Cross Country. This acknowledgement by the other NESCAC coaches recognizes what the team has already known for a long time: Fresh is an exceptional and dedicated coach. Super-Senior Captain Devin Diltz had this to say about Fresh's recognition as Coach of the Year:

Coach Fresh receiving recognition as the NESCAC coach of the year was an acknowledgement by the rest of the coaches of the gains that the program has made under his direction.  He has brought the program from the bottom of the NESCAC back to the top in just a few short years, and also fostered a team attitude that will keep it there in the years to come.
