No longer used as of 7/1/2009. During an IUG presentation on authority work, I learned Marcive could indeed add these cross references (unlike what I was told a year ago). So I guess finding out a year late (and after much added work) is better than nothing.

Adds a 4xx cross reference so Automated authorities module will update bib records for headings that need to have death dates added. When using, follow these procedures.

4/23/2010. Money is used up. The way we get records for purchased titles has changed. I need to download the non-purchased titles (they contain a delete code) and delete them. So: change load table to match and overlay on 001; output and send remaining records to marcive; have them reload protecting only cat date and without adding CBB RSS feed (since C and B not reloading). Updated these fields to load as they are: 506, 533, 856, 946.

Loads single title ebooks shared by CBB, purchased by Colby or Bowdoin from Yankee. Those that Bates purchases have to be loaded first through ecbbbates table.

Beginning June 2012, also loads the e-book packages for which Yankee supplies cataloging (e.g., CBB Cambridge eBook collection).

This table is the same as ecbbbates except:

• It will not create an order.
• It matches on 001 (ybp number) and rejects record if match is found.

The reject function allows Yankee to create one shared file (identical for all 3 schools).

Beginning June 2012, load table is putting in cat date, since package records are going to Marcive for authority work before being loaded. As of Nov. 2011, authority work on single-title purchases was discontinued.

On 3/1/2010, I edited the naxos table to load Naxos Jazz records: "These records are different from Naxos Classical records in use of 506, 530, 710, 830. Editing table for Naxos Jazz records, since this is presumably end of Naxos records from OCLC: Load 506 (these records have no 830 or 710 for Naxos); load 530 (these contains music labels and numbers for previous issues); load 710s (real); use map to add proxy to 856; load incoming 946 (Marcive authorities)."

On 2/10/2012 I copied that load table as naxjazz, so that I could use the naxos table to load Naxos OCLC Cataloging Partner
records. This is because the Scan/Delete process in the reclamation project
made me aware of 543 Naxos Classical records that should have been loaded and were not.

Some fileds were manipulated with Marc Edit before loading. See records loads page.

Loads 028 |a as the 001. Loads an 008 approriate for material type j, rather than material type m. Use zxx instead of eng for the language code in 008 and in bib language code. Loads 028 with indicators 02 (instead of blanks). Does not load 246 |h[electronic resource]. Loads 946 Naxos/University of Hong Kong.

Note: Loading the 028 |a as the 001 resulted in 18 overlaid book records. Load table changed to not overlay before loading 2nd set. Globally updated 001s after load, adding nax prefix.

Naxos Jazz, 3/1/2010. These records are different from Naxos Classical records in use of 506, 530, 710, 830. Editing table for Naxos Jazz records, since this is presumably end of Naxos records from OCLC: Load 506 (these records have no 830 or 710 for Naxos); load 530 (these contains music labels and numbers for previous issues); load 710s (real); use map to add proxy to 856; load incoming 946 (Marcive authorities). The changes recorded in this paragraph are now part of naxjazz load table.

The Scan/Delete process in the reclamation project made me aware of 543 Naxos Classical records that should have been loaded and were not. This naxos table was reverted back to load classical records and is currently set to reject if a match is found, since OCLC sent all records we should have in one file, and I only wanted to load the ones not yet in the catalog. Issue: when these records are reloaded using a load table that protects all but the 001, data gets corrupted in the Leader of some records.

Workaround: Load records using attached load table, make sure to check 'review file'. Copy records into a review file. Search review file for records with Marc 21 Leader Impl Len (field c5) != 0 (these are the problem records) Contact Nancy Quan (nquan@iii.com) at III to "remove leaders" from this second file. The system then regenerates the system generated section of the leaders, leaving the other sections intact.

(12/2003--Was able to create my own load table that creates orders and items (boi). No longer need this to validate since I can now copy boi if I need another table that creates orders and items. Since it works as written and is an Innovative table, I'm leaving it as it is.)
1/19/2006. Need to have pcat validate, so I can edit it to have it not overlay anymore. Copied to oldiiipcat so I can edit pcat.
1/2006. Am replacing this with a copy that validates and editing it to not overlay. Original pcat was allowing short promtcat records from firm orders to overlay our fully-cataloged bib records when duplicates, etc. were unknowingly ordered on Gobi2 by liaisons.

It loads only LC subject headings. It adds a 246 for every 245|a. Originally it got the OCLC number from the 913 field and loaded it into the 001. Edited 9/16/05 to keep OCLC number in 913, and load the ssj number--without (WaSeSS) prefix--in 001 (for NExpress matching).
