Formation of the present active system
- Paradigm verbs
- negö, äre,
ävï, ätus
- appäreö, ëre,
uï, itürus
- The present active system is formed by adding tense
endings and markers to the present stem. The present stem
is obtained by dropping the "re" ending from the present active
infinitive, the second principle part. For our paradigm verbs,
those stems are negä
and appärë.
- The present, future and imperfect tenses comprise the
present system, because all forms of these verbs are built upon
the present stem.
- Rules of Formation:
- present: stem + present
system endings
- future: stem
+ tense marker
["bi"] + present system endings
- imperfect: stem +
tense marker
["bä"] +
present system endings
