You will make one oral presentation in class describing and explaning an article from the the list of articles on reserve and/or the list of on-line articles on the Web Resources Page for this course. You may not give a report on an article for which another student has already given a report or submitted an annotation. When you have chosen an article you wish to report on and the date on which you wish to give your report, please send an email to the class list stating the author and title of the article so that we will all know which articles have been claimed.
Your report should last between 5 and 10 minutes (10 minutes is an absolutely maximum). You do not have to speak from a prepared text, but if you are more comfortable doing so, please feel free to (in such cases your text should run no more than 3 pages or 1000 words). If you think it will be helpful to distribute a handout, please feel free to do so. If you want to use a handout, please deliver a copy of the handout to me the morning of your presenation so I can have copies made for the class.
Your report should:
You must also submit (by email) an annotation of this article to me by the morning of your report.
The articles you may choose from for this report are available:

Note, it is completely acceptable, perhaps even wise, to pick the topics you wish to write your papers on early in the semester, and chose to report on an article that will advance the research you need to do for your papers.
