Kant outline

Kant argues that if there is to be experience at all, there must be conceptual norms and connections that link separate temporal and spatial moments together as more than a series of befores and afters.
This is true of places as well. But places are both fields of linked contrasts and themselves meaningful items in linked contrasts. Places are not closed horizons.
Kant's notion of reflective judgment is very similar to the notion of creating social grammars.
Kant's notion was extended by Hegel and others into a theory about our selves as belonging within the process of meaning and place making.
