places

Places in the sense I am concerned with are where we have established webs of expectations or norms for action.

Places do not have to be locales with an aesthetically pleasing or unified character.

They may not even be single areas of space.

They and their grammar can be temporary constructions.

They may not be stretches of physical space at all, but could be virtual realities.
