Conference Program available!

A draft of the conference program is now online. Check it out for information about speakers, events, poster sessions, local/campus information, and much more!  (last updated June 22, Adobe PDF file, approx. 1 MB)  Printed copies of the program will be available at the registration desk.

Award for best poster!

Wiley Blackwell is sponsoring a prize for the best poster presentation.  They are offering a $150 gift certificate, which can be used for any books published by Wiley Blackwell.  The winner will be decided at the conference based on content and aesthetics.  Good luck to everyone!

Conference speakers announced!

Several prominent and exciting cognitive researchers will present keynote addresses at SARMAC VII.  Dr. Norbert Schwarz, University of Michigan, will present a talk entitled "The Intricacies of Setting People Straight: Metacognitive experiences in debiasing and public information campaigns."  In addition, Dr. Mark Howe, Lancaster University, will present some of his new research on children's memory and Dr. Suparna Rajaram will speak on amnesia. At the opening session, Doug Herrmann will speak about the origins of SARMAC.

Also, Cognitive Technology Presents Craig Anderson on "Violent Video Game Effects on Cognition, Affect, and Behavior".  See News page for full abstract.
