Next Reunion in 2000. Tina Brickley, who's living in Atlanta, says she's "thrilled" to be a part of the editorial staff (publication coordinator/staff writer) for Digital Output magazine, which won the 1997 Folio: Editorial Excellence Award for Graphic Arts/Prepress Trade Publications. "I will travel, with my editor, to New York in early October to receive the award. Other honored publications include Martha Stewart Living, Business Week and Shape. This is considered the Emmy or Oscar of the magazine industry, and a wonderful honor for our magazine, which is less than two years old! I also really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones at Reunion in June."... Navy lieutentant John Cummings has returned to San Diego after completing a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean and Persian Gulf with Fighter Squadron 24 (VF-24) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Aircraft from VF-24 flew nearly one thousand missions to enforce the international no-fly zone over southern Iraq. In all, aircraft from John's squadron flew nearly 1,900 hours and completed 1,050 arrested landings aboard the carrier.... J.P. Fingado announces his engagement to Julie Adams. A June 1997 wedding is planned. J.P. works for a medical software company where he leads the investigation of new hardware and software technologies.... Amy Koch Oman received a master's degree from Columbia Univ. in May.... Joanna Michel Mauz is a therapist for children and families at a community mental health agency in Chicago. Husband Bill is a Ph.D. degree candidate in child psychology at DePaul Univ..... Christy Porter received her master's degree at the Univ. of New Hampshire last May. She is a Ph.D. degree candidate in physiological psychology. We reported erroneously in the winter 1995 issue that her degree was in atmospheric science.... In 1993, Patricia Ringers received her M.H.S. degree in population dynamics from Johns Hopkins Univ. She is now a Ph.D. degree candidate in anthropology. Husband Richard Iams is at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.

Next Reunion in 2001. In Marlboro, Massachusetts, Craig Patton is marketing director at Apogee Information Systems Inc.... Ellen Thorington writes, "I am attending Princeton to pursue a Ph.D. in French. In October, I will be a bridesmaid in Mimi Weyer '92 and Rick Cagle '91's wedding."... At the Univ. of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he is a Ph.D. student, Blair Tuttle works on research in theoretical solid state physics.

Next Reunion in 1996. Ami Lynn Berger earned her M.S. degree in English from the Univ. of Virginia in December 1995. She is a teacher at Lorain County Community College in Ohio.... Kimberly C. Couture received her M.D. degree May 23 from Albany Medical College. She begins general medical and surgery residency at the Albany hospital, then will study ophthalmology at Medical Univ. of South Carolina in Charleston.... Living in Hingham, Mass., Kaela Curtis teaches Spanish, English, and creative writing in Dorchester and is active with Latin American organizations in the area. Husband Gavin Little-Gill '90 works for Scudder, a mutual fund company. He finished his master's degree in finance at Boston College in 1994 and currently takes classes for a certificate in pension fundamentals from Bentley College.... Jason Dodson received the Pro Bono Law Assn. Public Service Bronze Medal Award from the Washington Univ. School of Law, where he recently received his J.D. He was also elected to the Order of Barristers for excellence in and service to lawyering skills competitions.... At the Univ. of New Hampshire, Everett Evans is a graduate student whose research has been recognized as the best student project in comparative endocrinology at a meeting of American Society of Zoologists in May. He is working with a UNH professor to find a way to sterilize sea lampreys, eel-like vertebrates that are not native to the Great Lakes and that destroy fish there.... Jeff Kew was married to Kathy Sharpless in November 1995. He is working as a programmer/producer of children's multimedia CD-ROMs at FUNNYBONE Interactive in Farmington, Conn.... In St. Louis, Mo., Jill Lemon is education assistant at the Center for Contemporary Arts. She earned her master's degree in art history from the Univ. of Chicago.... Ashley deWaal Lucas teaches history in Miami, Fla., while husband Kees DeWaal completes his Ph.D. degree in philosophy at the Univ. of Miami. Last June they were married in Goes, The Netherlands.

Next Reunion in 1999. Stefanie Pearson, assistant editor of the Jewish News in Phoenix, Ariz., has won a 1995 Arizona Press Club award for her story, "Domestic Abuse Hits Home," which tied for third place in the profile/feature writing category and was described by judges as "a bold examination of the added dimensions of shame imposed on Jewish victims of domestic violence by the reverence for family unity that is such a central pillar of the religion."

Next Reunion in 1999. Ian Harper's activities for the past year include more than three months backpacking through Southern Africa, which involved living for two weeks in a rural village in Lesotho. He was a short-order cook at the Brotherhood Restaurant on Nantucket in the fall, and last summer was a naturalist/environmental educator at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, several hours north of Toronto, Canada.... Since graduation, D. Randy West Jr. has completed Navy officer candidate school. He earned a commission as an ensign and finished training in his first Naval aircraft. Now living in Pensacola, Fla., he is learning to fly helicopters.
