CLASS EXPECTATIONS for Bio 120
GENERAL COURSE PROCEDURES:
- Class will meet online as announced. Course materials include heavy reading assignments.
- Test dates are tentative and may change.
- Students are expected to read all assignments thoroughly, before any class discussion takes place.
Reread the assignment afterwards, in addition. Reading ahead is recommended, especially for longer assignments.

ALL STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED:
- To always be mentally and intellectually prepared for work.
- To work hard and do their best.
- To read the all course materials carefully and thoroughly,
with the aim of learning the material.
- To ask for assistance when they need it. (Extra help can be arranged.)
- To enjoy learning new ideas.
- To develop new and increased understanding of the scientific inquiry process.
- To develop new and increased understanding of living systems.
- To e-mail me with any questions, concerns, or special needs.
- To treat fellow students and teachers with respect, and to cooperate with others as needed.
- To be familiar with and to abide by the University's policies on academic honesty.
- Most important: you need an alert mind, focused on learning, not sleep-deprived or impaired in any other way.
- Also note: If you have any special needs, it is your responsibility to inform your instructor, preferably by email.
