BOBCATS DROP SEASON FINALE, 94-77, AT WESLEYAN

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Despite a game-high 22 points from junior Alex Wilson (Duxbury, Mass.), the Bates College men's basketball team dropped a 94-77 decision at Wesleyan today. The Bobcats finish the season at 13-11, ending their winningest season since 1991-92.

Wesleyan (14-9, 6-3 NESCAC) held a five-point lead with 6:30 left in the first half at 29-24. The Cardinals then ended the stanza on a 21-6 to take a 50-30 halftime advantage. Wesleyan hit 21 of 37 shots from the floor in the first (56.8 percent) en route to the lead.

Sophomore reserve C.J. Neely (No. Easton, Mass.) was the only Bates player besides Wilson in double figures. Neely scored 16 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
