- If you miss an exam for any reason, it is your responsibility to email me
and arrange for a make-up.
Wherever possible, please contact me in advance.
- Approximately ten weeks into any fall or spring course (or five weeks into a summer course),
at least one make-up time will be arranged for any exams previously missed.
Students who need to make up a missed exam must do so at one of the assigned times or risk
receiving a zero for the exam.
- Students who know that they will miss a final exam should contact me.
If at all possible, make-up final exams will be arranged
during the final exam period in one of my other courses.
If this is not possible, you may need to take a make-up exam several weeks later
and receive a temporary grade of "Incomplete" in the interim.
- Exception: Students who have made arrangments in advance with the
Student Accessibility Services (Administration building, first floor) may take
the exam at the SAS offices, according to their procedures.
- Other exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, e.g., for prolonged illnesses.
- Most make-up exams will be in an all-essay, free-response format, possibly with some definitions, and with choices among questions.
