Projects, etc. done 2005
- Updated old storage item records to comply with current procedures. Updated procedures to allow circulating items (status -) in storage. This latter change reflects use of storage space since other items (previously in storage) were discarded or shipped to offsite storage. This project also included updating maintenance procedures and check-in records for titles that circulate from storage (1/2005).
- Wrote inventory procedures that cover all formats of material (1/2005).
- Added Electronic Reference location to the catalog. Finished work on adding Electronic Journal location to the catalog. Updated my procedures for adding locations to the catalog to take scoping into account. (2/2005).
- Re-wrote withdrawal procedures. These incorporate new icode2 use and new practice of deleting (rather than suppressing) records for intentionally-withdrawn items (2/11/2005).
- Cleanu-up project: 95 records that had suppressed bibs and check-in records with Lib has statements. Many still had OCLC holdings attached. Updated withdrawal procedures to try to limit mistakes with future withdrawals (2/2005).
- Batesiana cleanup, in conjunction with relocation of Batesiana to the first floor and some of the former Batesiana titles to the stacks. Wrote procedures for new Batesiana section. Added check-in records and some title variations, etc., to serials records, but kept local cataloging for this primarily browsing collection (3/2005).
- Upon request of Chris and Kat, removed call numbers from Special Collections materials that are shelved/asked for by title, and that now are part of College Archives (that is, with A numbers). Many of these titles have copies in both Ladd and Archives/Special Collections. Documented the titles that are no longer classed (3/2005).
- Designed Connexion Client classes. Taught classes for Bib Services and other library staff during Short Term (4/2005-5/2005).
- Microfilm project for film shevled by title. Holdings checked and corrected. JSTOR overlap withdrawn. Oversaw shift of journal A-Z and newspaper A-Z into one A-Z sequence (4/2005-5/2005).
- Appointed the NExpress Systems Coordinator May 2005. Worked to bring
up returnables portion July 15, 2005 (5/2005-7/2005). Other NExpress work

- Non-returnables testing (10/2005-4/2006).
- ILSweb work (lead by Regan Richards). Included writing the conception document and portions of the WIKI. Project terminated. (5/2005-1/2006).
- Converted Special Collections call numbers from alternate call numbers to LC call numbers. Work with records included adding 7102s for names of collections, formatting call numbers correctly (i.e., spacing and subfield b,s), moving from 0990 to 090. Wrote procedures and updated Help and Search Help pages in the catalog (6/2005-11?/2005).
- Re-did Special Collections locations: now two locations, one for Archives/Speciall Collections, one for Archives Storages. Wrote documentation. This project brought special collections records in line with current multi procedures (summer 2005).
- Completed clean-up work implementing new withdrawal procedures. Deleted records remaining from first massize deletion; updated records needing to remain according to new icode2 procedures. Did this in prepatation for sending records to Library Dynamics for collection analysis software (7/2005-8/2005).
- CBB Mellon grant-writing meetings/work (8/2005-4/2006).
- ERM implementation (2nd time; project terminated). (9/2005-12/2005).
- Archivist Search Committee (9/2005-6/2006).
- Techpro 2005/2006 foreign language, etc. project. RFP to boxes shipped (9/2005-6/2006).
- Removed three locations from the catalog (a 25-step process): btsg2 (Govt Floppy Disks), btsr1 (Reference CD-ROMS), btsx (Maine Pamphlet File) (10/2005).
- Taught a session for library staff on Millennium Statistics during Bib Services Training Day (10/21/2005).
