- Cataloged spoken word cassette backlog. (9/1999-2/2000)
- Finished Techpro scores (3/2000). Found out there is still a box at Techpro. Will be cataloged in July. [Cataloged by Techpro in May; now in library] [Authority work and shelflisting finished for these scores 7/7/2000]
- Wrote procedures for downloading Lovejoy gift scores, trained Anne.
- Wrote job description. (with John) (3/2000)
- Wrote (new versions of) workflow forms for tracking periodicals and series (1-3/2000). Got pdf versions on the web.
- Wrote procedures for CBB periodical retention project. (3/2000)
- Wrote procedures on how to link records; discussed gov doc linked-record clean-up with Renee. (4/2000)
- Wrote procedures for linking new materials list, trained Marnie. (5/2000)
- Reviewed clickable locations in catalog and borrow/use table on
web. Made sure information in the loan rules that result is
correct, and that correct loan rule is being invoked. (3-6/2000)
- Re-revised music procedures on abacus that got wiped out. Also, reformated these according to new Technical Services guidelines for editing web procedures. Wrote new procedure for adding status g item records to incoming music material. (6/2000)
- Revised the loan rule determiner table and the loan rule table.
Removed 87 lines from the determiner table; retired 36 loan rules. It
will now be easier to work with these tables to get borrow/use information
into the catalog and onto the web. They are also in better shape to
receive new entries needed for Info-net. (with Julie, Andrew) (6/2000)
- Learned initial microform serials cataloging. (6/2000)
- Consulted with Susan on process for creating and loading marc records into the catalog for items in EAI. (5-6/2000)
- Documented "waiting to be cataloged" items for material/resources matching (5/2000).
- Set up outsourcing project with Techpro. First shipment shipped 7/1/2000.
- Taught class on Using the Innopac Manual as one part of a two-part CBB training opportunity. Will offer this class at Colby and at Bowdoin in the fall. (7/2000)
- Wrote procedures and initiated project to correct records for Boxed JSTOR titles. (Project completed 8/2000.)
- Made coding changes/clean-up for Infonet (with Technical Services staff) (6-9/2000). Wrote procedures associated with problems found:
- Wrote cataloging procedures for use of composite/separate bibliographhic records, including attached records, related URL's, and OCLC holdings (5/2000-10/2000).
- Updated information in catalog related to name change for Bibliographic Services and name and location change for Special Collections. (10/2000)
- Wrote proposal for May 2001 IUG presentation on code clean-up and maintenance and local documentation (10/2000). [Proposal was accepted Nov. 2000.]
Projects for short term/summer 2000 student
- Finish 1999 inventory check of shelves (done: 6/2/00)
- Create item records for scores and CDs (status g) (most of these are done 7/2000)
- Create status g item records for gift LP (at workstation and in Audio) then get rid of Acq type x code (done: 9/2000)
- Add contents note for M1994 .B76 1939, La bonne chanson; 10 vols. Contents listed in back of each vol. (done: 6/2000)
- Get Esty gift scores from stacks and add gift plates (done: 6/2/00)
- Add spine labels to CD boxed sets (done: 6/2000)
- Add spine labels to thick LPs. (begun summer 2000, continuing fall 2000)
- Do inventories. During CD inventory, replace old message on dummies with new message. (done: CD inventory, 6/27/2000; cassette inventory, 6/19/2000)
- Shelf read LC classed microfilms and re-label drawers (done: 6/27/2000)
