Autumn Meeting

 

 

 

There will be a meeting of the society in London on Thursday 18 November 2004.

The meeting begins at 6.00 pm with a service of

 

Orthodox Vespers

 

in the church of St Dunstan in the West, 184 Fleet Street, EC4,

celebrated by Bishop Kallistos.

 

After the service there will be a glass of wine at St BrideÕs Institute in Bride Lane.

 

At about 7.15 pm, also in St BrideÕs Institute,

 

Dr Oliver Rackham

 

will give an illustrated talk on the theme

 

Our Lady's Garden: The Historical Ecology of the Holy Mountain

 

Oliver Rackham, OBE, is a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and a leading expert on woodlands and their history. He is a member of the Friends and a regular visitor to the Holy Mountain.

 

There is no charge for attending the meeting. As always, guests are most welcome.
