Autumn Meeting

 

 

 

There will be a meeting of the society in London on Monday 10 November 2003.

The meeting begins at 6.00 pm with a service of

 

Orthodox Vespers

 

in the church of St Dunstan in the West, 184 Fleet Street, EC4,

celebrated by Bishop Kallistos.

 

After the service there will be a glass of wine at St Bridešs Institute in Bride Lane.

 

At about 7.15 pm, also in St Bridešs Institute,

 

Dr Paul Hetherington

 

will give an illustrated talk on the theme

 

A Diversity of Riches: Thoughts on Some Works

from the Treasuries of Mount Athos

 

Dr Hetherington is an art historian with a special interest in Byzantine art as well as being a member of the Friends and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries

 

There is no charge for attending the meeting. As always, guests are most welcome.
