As noted in the Guide, "A number of tourist maps are available locally [in Greece, and on the Holy Mountain in the shops in Daphni and Karyes] but these are not recommended. The only good map of Athos is Austrian and may be obtained by writing to Reinhold Zwerger, A-1020 Wien, Wohlmutstrasse 8, Austria."

The current edition of the Zwerger Map is that of September, 2001, and the current price for all except members of the Friends of Mount Athos is € 25. This information was current as of November, 2006. We ask any purchasers of the map who learned of it from this web site to contact us, using the link at the bottom of this page, if they find that the current edition or pricing has changed.
