A Moment at the Astrologer's Seat

Hello From A Learned Traveller,

This is Kate writing, and I'm to add my own observations about my educational journey through the land they call India. This photo is taken at Fatehpur Sikri, which is a Palace/Tomb that was the capital of the Mughal empire sometime around the same time that William Shakespeare was alive in England. Fascinating to see the vast differences in artechtecture between England and India of that time. England would invade India about 400 years after this palace was built.
This particular place at the Fatehpur Sikri is called the Astrologer's Seat. I've chosen to sit here and contempelate my fates. I wonder if Saturn will smile on the gates of my stars, and so on *winks*
This trip has been one educational day after another. As soon as I feel I've seen everything, something proves that I have not. I'm so very much more appericatetive of the freedom of life that we have back in the States, espically being Deaf and an woman. People are friendly here and go along with thier lives, not knowing what it is like to see them through the eyes of an spolied American. They look at us and think we are royality, and to them we are, literally. I am quite unsure of how to react when so many people rush forward to help us, and want money from us. We are defenteliy not anynomous here.
I will add some more observations later.
Cheers! Kate
