The main part of Roman Britain's economy was agriculture. This consisted of cereal growing, and the raising of Sheep, pigs, and cattle.

SMITHS
Smiths in the Roman Empire constituted an important part of Roman industry. Many were exalted for the nature of their work because it seemed to have the power over earth and fire. A smith's workshop could be a small family business, a tribal business, or a large state business. Smiths would use various metals for various products. For example lead was used to make pipes and iron was used for tools and weapons.

OTHER INDUSTRIES
Other main industries of Roman Briton consisted of the leather industry, pottery industry, and the glass industry. Leather was used for a variety of goods in Roman Briton, such as shoes. Pottery was used for cooking, preservation, and other aspects. Some pottery objects are unique, while many were others were mass-produced. Glass was used for various assortments of products, such as flagons.
