¥Learning Japanese made my mind more flexible, so that I can learn other languages more efficiently.  It was also taught in an effective way, which has given me guidelines for learning other languages on my own.  Most importantly, I think, I discovered my fascination for other cultures through Japanese, and this has lead me to travel around the world and to love the most rewarding experiences of my life.   (Kerry did not take JPN as a major or a secondary concentration, but she was one of the best students.  She is working now and eventually going to a graduate school, thinking about Anthropology for her major. --Ofuji)
