Her major was NeuroScience. She took JPN 102 ~ 202. She started taking JPN because her boyfriend (now her husband) was studying Japanese. When Paul, her husband, took a JYA, she visited him in Japan. She was interested in Japan and eager to visit there again. She made a research plan and applied for the Freeman grant. During the short term 2004, she went to Japan, stayed at a family, visited schools, and interviewed people and children. She wrote a summary about JPN nutrition in Japanese. She had a wedding ceremony in June 2004, where I was one of Bates' guests. It was nice to see her family from Rumania. She was very beautiful. <by Ofuji, 1-10-06>
