He got triple majors -- Chinese, Political Science, and East Asian Studies. He took only JPN 101 ~ 202, but he was talented in language. He spoke Greek, English, Chinese, Japanese, and a few more European languages. He visited me in October 2005 and said he has been working in Boston, New York, and now London at Mogan-Stanley Company. He said he would have a chance to work in or go to China and Japan in the future. <by Ofuji, 1-10-06>

Alec took Japanese 101 to 402 and went to Japan through the AKP program during his junior year. He wrote his senior thesis in Japanese, but he had a little difficult time doing that. However, he was successful in getting a job. He got a position as a CIR in JET program and worked at a computer company near Nagoya for 3 years. (I met him in Nagoya once and we went to an "izakaya." It was nice.) After finishing the contract, he came back to the U.S. and worked at a bank (I think). He wrote me that he took an exam for the governmental job, but he had another offer to work in Japan and took it. Unfortunately, he didn't tell me if he passed the exam or not. I hope he did. <by Ofuji, 1-10-06>
