Due to the increasingly frequent problems with our current mail server and to the time it will take to get moved over to Linux, I recommend that we take the interim step of moving all mail-related services onto the WGS 60. It has enough memory and much more hard drive space than the IIsi. I spent some time freeing up space on it, this week. It still had all the stuff from the days when it was the web server. This would be a relatively quick move, on the order of an hour or so, and wouldn't involve any password changes or requirements to empty mailboxes. It would actually speed up listserve processing since Macjordomo knows how to use Eudora Mail Server mailboxes directly instead of having to log into the server the way it does now. Basicly, if there are no objections or concerns, I just have to coordinate times with Rob Spellman who would have to make the addressing changes.
