Art:
I know that one can make the argument that any amount of energy that we put
into other activities at this time is potential energy that would be taken
away from getting our house in order, but to not be a "partner" here would,
IMHO, be a mistake. It should not take away from our work meetings and
because of my speaking up at the grant planning meeting, a few more
community-leader types have a little better understanding of what AVCNet is
trying to do.

Also, IMHO, getting the grant is probably a very long shot at this point, but
even if they get it, we would not be trying to do any more than we are
currently attempting to offer the community, i.e., a website with
Lewiston/Auburn links, non-profit web pages, and email discussion lists for
community groups.

In any event, I do not plan to personnally get diverted from the goal of
AVCNet getting its act together.

For the record, the group submitted a pre-proposal and now waits until
December to see if HP invites them to develop a full blown one.
