IMac Troubles

Hi
       I'm having a problem with the libraries public access Imac.  One
of the patrons downloaded something that is trying to run during
startup.  The program never runs and instead the Imac locks up.  I do
not know what was downloaded or where it was saved to.  Is there any way
to fix this?   Any help will be greatly appriciated.
