Laurie,

Thank you for your feedback about the AVCNet web site. Your
concern for our community's web presence is apparent and
commendable.

No, Neokraft does not maintain these pages. The presentation is a
collaborative effort by AVCNet volunteers and, as you have noticed,
changing conditions have resulted in many holes recently.

Because of these inadequacies, AVCNet members including
myself, engaged in a working session two nights ago. Link
checking and editing efforts are in progress this week.

Soon, we hope to have our web page content linked, dynamically
through our search engine, to the changing landscape of local
information. When this is accomplished, the links will be able to be
maintained with less manual effort and AVCNet's pages will be a
real asset to the community.

AVCNet maintains these services solely through income provided
by membership fees and volunteer gifts and services. The future of
AVCNet is dependent entirely on local support.

Perhaps you would be interested in joining us. We are (obviously)
in need of the talents and efforts of those interested in actively
fostering community through technology. I can send you a
brochure or you can pick one up from Bates' Information Services
or the Lewiston Public Library.

Or at least join our distributed e-mail discussion by filling out the
form at http://www.avcnet.org/avcnetlist.shtml .

Thank you,

David Sysko
Secretary, AVCNet
