The Androscoggin Valley Community Network (AVCNet) will be holding their annual meeting on Wednesday, May 27 at 7PM in the City Council Chambers of the Lewiston City Building. The meeting is open to the public and all AVCNet members are encouraged to attend. This will only be a business meeting, unlike past years, there will be no public program. The AVCNet Board of Directors is recommending two changes to the AVCNet Bylaws. These will be voted on at the 5/27/98 annual meeting. They are: 1. Amend Article IV, Section 1 to permanently change the annual meeting to "September or October" instead of May. The current wording is: Section 1. There shall be an annual meeting in May for the election of officers and the transaction of other business at a time and place to be determined by the Board of Directors. 2. Amend Article V by deleting Section 6. Section 6 currently reads: Section 6. No officer will be eligible for more than two successive terms in the same office.
