>In my efforts to promote our "Making the Connection" Oct 14 workshop >I stopped by Computer Disk-count Software on Lisbon St in Lewiston to >ask them to put up a small poster and have workshop flyers available >for their walk-in customers. ... I've never had a good experience with them. Now I avoid them like the black plague. :) The L/A Area is certainly lacking in a good computer shop. (...and that new store in the Auburn mall with 3 computers is just sad.) Actually, I wonder if one of the malls with some vacant space would be willing to let AVCnet use the space for free. (Promenade Mall comes to mind...seems that they might be willing to do ANYTHING to get people to go there!) Anyway, you could setup "computer workshops" or "computer learning centers" several nights a week. Seems like everyone could benefit from something like that. (And if you need a speaker on Internet or Macintosh, I might be available.) Maybe AVCnet could even organize a computer show in such a place. These are just some ideas I've been dragging around for a while. --- -Patrick Delahanty | http://nina.internet.com/~patrickd/ PatrickD@internet.com | WWW Programmer and Macintosh Evangelist
