Postings to Newsgroups for "World" distribution

I have attempted many times to post a message to the
newsgroup comp.sys.mac.hypercard (to which I am subscribed, 
of course). The post does indeed appear locally, but
outside of avcnet I tend to think not. I wonder what the
problem could be?
