AVCNet Board Meeting

Minutes - 12 September 1995

Meeting called to order at 19:12 by Rick Speer

1. Election of Secretary

        Bob Leduc is unable to carry on as Secretary due to job
        constraints - Rob Waite volunteered to accept as interim recording
        secretary until one can be found/elected.

2. Approval of Minutes of July Meeting

        Minuets approved/accepted by All

3. Treasurers Report

        On Hand - $705.00 US

4. Old Business
a. State Incorporation for AVCNet
(1) Maximum Size Of Board

        The state needs a maximum number in incorporation - Board voted
        19 as maximum.  Motion by Roger Fuller, Second by Art Turly

(2) Registered Agent/Address for AVCNet

        The state needs a address/contact person - Rick Spear volunteered
        himself and Lewiston Public Library.  Motion by Jim Hart, Second
        by Roger Fuller

*(3)    Articles of Incorporation singed by Art Turly, Rob Waite, Jim Hart,
        Bruce Hall, and Roger Fuller, with Rick Speer as the Registered
        Agent.

*(4)    We Need to get a Money Order for $20.00 US to send to the state for
        the articles of incorporation.

b. Program Community Report

        Time constraints and a lack of a Logo have precluded the Web
        Page

        We need to work out the "Flow" Between the Real Time part
        of the seminar, and the E-Mail/UseNet portions of
        the InterNet, will they be together or separate Seminars

        EcoLink BBS will do a "Walk Thorough Setup / Logon to a BBS" if
        there is interest (This is your modem, this is the phone line,
        this is an init string, ect..)

c. Requirements for a AVCNet Feed

        We still need to resolve the Bates/UseNet/Money issue.

        The Boards Stand is that the following requirements be met for a
        AVCNet Feed from "Mother" at bates.edu

        The Subdomain provides users 15 Minuets/Day Access to UseNet
        Mail and Newsgroup's that the subdomains' chose to carry, at no
        charge to the user.

        This is to be voted on at the next meeting.

5. New Business
a. Membership List's and communication's with members

        Roger Fuller will put together a Pamphlet with a AVCNet
        Application, Seminar Outline, List of AVCNet BBS's and
        Organizations, ect, as well as a Organizational DataBase ("Who
        Are We?")

        We need a list of Subdomains, Dues Paying Members, and BBS's to
        tell people just "What and Who We Are"


b. Board Meeting Start Time

        The Board considered a request to start the meetings at 18:30,
        but decided that the start time would remain 19:00

c. AVCNet Logo

        No Progress.
