The AVCNet Board of Directors has a recommendation on an important policy issue which I wanted to bring to everyone's attention. It was covered in the Minutes of the 9/12/95 Board Meeting which were posted earlier, but, for those that missed it, the recommendation is as follows: In order for BBS's to receive an AVCNet Feed through Bates College they must offer any dial-in user a daily minimum of 15 minutes free access to Internet email and to Bates-provided news groups which the sub-domain (i.e., BBS) chooses to carry. The Board will be voting on this policy at their October meeting (time and Place to be announced). Interested parties should post comments to this discussion list.
