Tomorrow's AVCNet meeting will be held at Central Maine Technical College (CMTC) on Turner
St. in Auburn at 3:30 p.m. in the library conference room.
Directions:
From Center St. (route 4) in Auburn, turn west at the light between Rowe Ford and Giant
Advance. Drive to the stop sign. Turn right. CMTC is on the left about 1/4 mile. Go in the main
door, by the flag pole. Turn right after you enter, the library is straight ahead.
Current items on the agenda are:
1. Update on the AVCNet pamphlet from Phil Brookhouse and Paul Fraser.
2. Update on Maine Freenet and on incorporating AVCNet from Rick Speer.
3. Update on getting a system set up and operating from Rob Spellman, Tom Gleason, and
Jim Hart.
4. Discuss Medium and Short Term Goals:
a. Permanent subcommittees. (Maine Freenet has a good list we could use as a basis for
discussion.)
b. Presentations for Information Providers,
Consumers and Potential Contributors.
c. Identification of high benefit Information Providers.
d. Fund Raising
e. Choosing a set of officers.
5. Call for Committee Volunteers.
a. Call for Committee Chair nominations
b. Call for new volunteers for commitee work, especially smaller
committees
6. Take action on outstanding issues.
a. Contracts between AVCNet and affiliated BBS's
b. Acceptable Use Policies for users
c. Whether to charge fees of any kind, and how much.
