Monday, March 10

Before today's class you should read Moons and Planets, pp. 237-248. These sections are about petrology- the nature of rocks- and about the nature of original planetary surfaces.


Wednesday, March 12

Before today's class you should read Moons and Planets, pp. 249-257. These sections are an introduction to impact craters.


Thursday, March 13, LAB

The lab today is on reflectance spectroscopy.


Friday, March 14

In-Class Exam. The exam will be basically on chapters 7 and 8 and the first part of chapter 9 (through the basics of impact cratering), although some material from our first weeks is also relevant. As before, the lists of concepts at the ends of the chapters are a good study guide.
