Adaptive Reuse
Can you imagine an adaptive re-use of Disney World that dispensed with its themes but re-purposed the structures?
Without the themes what would be left but some odd machinery and garden paths?
It might become a giant folly, but like a medieval cathedral it resists being converted to a use that will not take account of its former identity.
