(1) Could everywhere be themed?
We might imagine total theming coming about through massive commercial redevelopment. In that case, even though everywhere was themed, there could still be references to elsewheres in history or fantasy.
However, in such a world the doubled self-presentation needed for theming would fade away because total theming would no longer allow an active contrast with a different everyday life.
More precisely, a whole world cannot share a single mono-theme. The situation of a multi-themed totality is more complicated.
