I started playing while I was an undergraduate at Bates, then played in the Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance Hat and Club leagues while I was in graduate school. Now that I'm back at Bates, I occasionally practice with Orange Whip, the Bates team, as well as play in the Portland Summer League and pick up at various tournaments.One of my favorite tournaments was Potlatch 2003 where my team was called "Mass Air". Here's a shot of me in my uniform. (It was very warm!) More pictures to come, hopefully! TravelIn addition to ultimate, my wife, Becky, and I also enjoy hiking and traveling. After getting married in 2006, we had a honeymoon in Iceland. No sitting on a beach for us! Instead, we hiked over and around mountains, crossed a desert, skirted glaciers, admired waterfalls, saw puffins, and relaxed in thermal springs. We took quite a few pictures from our trip.We've also traveled around China and Eastern Europe. We're just about due for another trip, destination to be determined... Rocky and JackRocky and Jack are our two dogs. The boys (from the same litter) turned 2 this August. We took far too many pictures of them when they were puppies. Here is Rocky, and here is Jack.You may see me walking them around campus, and occasionally they can be found sleeping in my office. |
