Preferred Entry Procedures

Coaches are encouraged to use Hy Tek Track & Field Team Manager to submit your rosters and declarations. This is the best way to avoid errors made by the host in entering your rosters and declarations. What you submit is what will be entered in Meet Manager. The event list can be imported directly into Team Manager and will be emailed out to you on Monday April 21st. (Editorial note: If you don't have Team Manager you should! This is an excellent and very friendly program that could really ease all of our future entry needs for meets using Meet Manager. Best of all, a working copy can be downlowded for free at the web site listed below.)

If you choose not to use these procedures, please send your roster as early as possible.
A list of your athletes entered manually into Hy Tek will be sent to you for your inspection as long as you provide a valid e-mail address. It is your responsibility to check this roster for errors of any sort.

Using Hy-Tek Track and Field Team Manager

The program can be installed on any Windows machine running Windows 95 or later version. The Lite version of Team Manager can be downloaded from:

The HELP feature will be useful in setting up the program for your use. The program is very intuitive and you may never need to use HELP, but it is available if you need it.

After Downloading the Program

STEP 1: Enter 'Team' information from the file bar. At Bates we have used different team codes for men and women. If you are a single head coach, using the same code for both teams may work best.

STEP 2: Enter your roster under 'Athletes' from the file bar. You cannot enter athlete names until you have entered a Team.

Your roster is now ready to be exported!

STEP 3: You can enter the 'Events' yourself or you can import meet events from Meet Manager export file which will be emailed out on April 21st. Once the 'Events' information has been entered you can enter or declare athletes into the meet.

Your entries are now ready to be exported from Team Manager Lite and sent directly to Bates as an e-mail attachment!
