Query

A correspondent working a music manuscript of Tayner Taylor (1747-1825) has
written to ask me about a paper stock in the MS. The watermark, which
occurs at the fore-edge of a (presumably quarto) leaf is "S & Co." He
wonders if it might be from the Chambersburg, PA mill recorded by Gravell
and Miller. I have placed a scan of his faxed tracing at

	http://ebbs.english.vt.edu/watermarks/s&co.html

In the hopes that someone on this list might be more knowledgable about
this than I.

Thanks for any help you might provide.
