The Unassign script

The unassign scripts, like all ICMS scripts, live here: a4811\bates\dxml

ICMS uses a system of assigning pages to users in order to show that that person is editing that page. Users cannot check out pages assigned to others. These pages must be unassigned first.

This is easy enough when a user needs to edit one or two pages assigned to another user, but when whole sections of the site are assigned to to a particular user and someone else needs to edit those sections, there is no simple "Unassign page and children" option in ICMS.

The unassign script was created to unassign all pages claimed by one user. Simply input an Abacus username and the script will search for all ICMS pages assigned to that person and unassign them.
