Honors Theses Page

The Honors Theses pages are built for one purpose: to display information relating to current honors theses. The information is generated from a Filemaker database that Tammy Couturier maintains. Once a year this database is converted to XML and placed in the prebuilt folder; all the information in the data gets updated from that database, with a few exceptions. The academic year is hard-coded into the stylesheet. Departments which have no students writing a thesis must be unmarked for publish, or they will appear with a blank page; similarly, departments which had no theses last year but do this year should be marked for publish. Read here how to convert a filemaker database into a static XML file. Follow those instructions and be sure to designate the fields Major_1 and Major_2 as attributes.

This page will automatically generate one link to the Ladd Catalog author: *department name* honors thesis. More can be added by use of a LaddLink field containing an External Link component.
