Bates Staff members boycott Den |

The Physical Plant employees are boycotting "The Den' because of unfair
treatment toward us! Because of a couple of teachers, the Bates Plumbers,
Electritians, Carpenters, Painters, and Groundskeepers can not enjoy watching
the sports channel on T.V. during their 20 minute coffee break at the "Den"! The T.V. seems to bother a couple of teachers and therefore has been shut off indefinitely. We are many among us,yet have no voice over a professor. Though shutting the T.V. is an issue, the real issue is the way they went about it,with no consideration for the Physical Plant employees. So the Boycott is in effect and is getting more support every day. We just want fair treatment-And our T.V. BACK!
