Bates Colle senior Adelia Myrick (Kodiak, Alaska) fell short in her bid to become the first woman in Bates history to qualify for four consecutive national cross country championships, placing 20th at the New England Regional qualifying meet with a time of 18:45 The Bobcats placed 14th as a team, down from last year's remarkable third place finish which earned a team berth at the nationals.

Sophomore Kate Parker (Williamstown, Mass.) continued her impressive season, placing 23rd overall, just two second behind Myrick at 18:47. The Bobcats' next finisher was Jessica Young, who came in 98th with a time of 20:11.
