The Bobcats got on the board quickly, as Rowley scored in the first five minutes, with junior Kate O'Malley (Deephaven, Minn.) picking up the assist. The Sharks answered in the 12th minute, but Rowley tallied her second goal of the game with just over 15 minutes remaining in the second half, with McCrave picking up the assist. It was the 21st assist of McCrave's career, moving her past Jenna Macochnie '94 into first place as Bates' all-time assist leader.

The second half was tight throughout the opening, but Bates expanded the lead on McCrave's first goal of the season in the 64th minute, assisted by junior midfielder Jolene Thurston (Post Mills, Vt.). The Sharks bounced back with a goal in the 76th minute, but McCrave answered with her second goal of the game in the 80th minute. Simmons scored in the final two minutes of the game, but the Bobcats hung on for the win.
