After the scoreless first half, Conn. College got on the board less than five minutes into the second when a Conn. forward broke past a Bates defender and slipped the ball by Bates senior goalkeeper Suzie Arnold (Falmouth, Mass.). The Bobcats answered less than five minutes later on a corner kick, when junior Kate O'Malley (Deephaven, Minn.) headed the ball to classmate Jolene Thurston (Post Mills, Vt.), who put the ball home in header herself.

The Camels scored the game-winner at the 70 minute mark on a rebound at the 70 minute mark and added an insurance goal nine minutes later.

Arnold made11 saves in the losing effort. Bates outshot Conn. College, 29-13. The Bobcats are ranked seventh in the NSCAA Division III New England poll, while the Camels are fifth in the Metro region.
